EXPERIENCE

Special Projects Coordinator, Office of the President, Arizona State University, Tempe, AZ

February, 2004 to present

Coordinate incoming and outgoing events and trips for staff members, faculty, and investors of the university. Manage logistics for all travel, including setting up appointments and the development of an agenda. Build strategic relationships with local and international organizations, government offices, and individuals. Responsible for the proper arrangement and special needs of the university’s associates and investors. Monitor and manage details when collaborating with outside agencies, serve as a liaison. Verify accuracy of information and logistics in agendas and anticipate situations prior and during events for the Office of the President as well as advising for an event at other offices and/or colleges. Organize and coordinate visits to the state of Arizona and university for Howard Buffett, state senators from Mexico, government officials of foreign countries, and head of Asian, South and Central American organizations.

Develop strategies to raise the sales of all stores: introduced discount cards, create and maintained database of potential and current shoppers with birthdates, sizes, and contact information, developed a marketing campaign in magazines and newspapers. Organize cocktail parties, store openings and fashion shows. Collaborate with vendors, media, and charity groups.

 

EDUCATION

Currently enrolled at Arizona State University and graduating in December of 2007 with a Bachelor degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, with an emphasis in Biology and Spanish Linguistics.

 
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

Actively involved with The World AIDS Day Rally Organization, Body Positive, The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Face Aids Organization, and the De Colores Women’s Shelter.
